portrait of an afternoon in may

I was on the front porch earlier, enjoying the horses snorting and the sunshine. As I turned to come in the house, this caught my eye. A magical painting of the same scene I'd just been viewing.

That's a really neat picture in the octagon window. Glad you caught it.

Thank you - it was very much like capturing a piece of the day.

I love the way you see things, Billie. Thanks for taking the time to capture it for us.

Thank you, Mamie. I have gotten a lot of mileage out of my digital camera, even though I still prefer my old Nikon FM and film. One day I'm going to get my huge case of old negatives out and go down to the rent-a-darkroom space and make one big portfolio of all my prints. A retrospective. :)

(why oh why did I give my darkroom equipment away when I moved back from California???)

That is a nice view. Whew, glad you are okay in regards to the twister! I am glad we don't have those. For some reason I have always had a strong fear of them! That movie was really good.

Pony Girl, I remember the flying cow from the movie and had images of flying horses and donkeys in my head when the wind became strong.

Fortunately it did not last long!

Thanks, Matthew. This one is like your landscapes, in miniature.
