back to the escritoire

Okay, it's one of those times when I'm letting the word of the day guide my intentions. Back to the writing today, and my plan is to dig back into the second novel after a week focusing on nonfiction.

I've discovered that if I get my writing/riding routine flowing well on Monday, it carries through the week.

So second novel. And it's a Cody ride day. The local tack shop didn't have the loose ring French link snaffle in Keil Bay's size, but they did in Cody's, so I'm going to try him in the milder bit and pick one up for Keil tomorrow when I'm at the office and in the vicinity of the other tack shop.

Looks like a great day - the sky is pale blue, the sun is illuminating the tops of the pine trees outside the garret window, and a crow sits atop the tallest of them, cawing at me, which is one more indication that it's time to get back to the book.

Sounds as if you have a nice day planned, what could be better than a day of writing and riding. It's cold here but clear and sunny for a change, I love a crisp day with a blue sky.

Enjoy your sunshine! This is my ideal day - nothing on the schedule but writing, riding, and kids.

escritoire? You always send me to the dictionary, or to dictionary.com anyway. :-)

For this one you could have simply scrolled down to my word of the day side-bar box. I love that little box that changes itself as if by magic every single day!

Thanks.

I will have to start checking out the "word of the day" every day!

I suppose I could put it higher up on the sidebar - but that would require dealing with HTML and yuck! I'm not quite up to that right now. One of these days I need to upgrade this blog to the newer format, which is SO much easier to work with inside the template.

My week seems to go the same way, if I get my schedule for working horses and writing running smoothly on Monday, I'm usully good for the week.

Not much hope for this week, I haven't even made it out the door to the barn for riding. I doubt I will get any done today.
