Not just a crow moon, but also a total eclipse as well!
Thanks to Billie's quick eyes, we got to see this delicious sight. We drove out to Jordan Lake to watch the eclipse, but the cloud cover there prevented us from seeing anything. On the drive home, Billie exclaimed: "there's the moon!". I pulled over the car and we got to see the treat of the moon in full eclipse, and watched it gradually emerge from the earth's penumbra.
Joni, thanks - I've seen the full moon a few times on the downtown skyline where it looked bigger than the buildings in the foreground - always thought that would make a lovely photo but have never taken the time to capture it.
If only we could figure out how to snap the shots with our eyes and transfer it to the screen!

There's a Blood Moon in my current book, and it really did get the flow going to see this tinted moon while working on the revision.
