squeaky wheels and donkey boys

I was out at the barn this morning pushing the wheelbarrow. The wheel was squeaking loudly and then suddenly there were TWO squeaky wheelbarrows and then THREE. Totally confused, I stopped and listened. Numbers two and three were in fact not wheelbarrows, but donkeys!

I ask you - is the wheelbarrow mimicking donkeys or are donkeys mimicking wheelbarrows?

Something to ponder on this chilly (but sunshiny, oh so happy to type that!) day.

Those talented donkeys ought to be on TV with their own show! Glad to hear someone's got sunshine. We've got about a foot of snow yesterday with plenty of wind and below zero temps.

Oh, A, what a mess! We got another round of rain so it's muddy again, but the snow would be worse for sure. Enjoy the beauty while it's there and I hope you and the herd stay warm and that you get some clearing and warmer weather very soon.

There's a donkey at our barn, and he tends to sound like a squeaky door, when he's not in full bray!

Oh, Kate - that is hilarious - ours go into full bray too but Rafer Johnson squeaks at the end of his full bray like a series of exclamation points!
