the cure for anything

The cure for anything is salt water, sweat, tears, or the sea.

They are such spirits and forces in our daily lives here.

In the movie The Black Stallion, the scene where the boy is running with the horse on the beach, and playing in the surf, is one of my favorite movie scenes ever. So powerful and healing.

It is an amazing thing to live with horses. There is a feeling of deep-rootedness and connection with life that they help to unfold within us.

It is the same feeling that I get when standing on top of the blue ridge mountains, watching the colors flood the sky as the sun slowly rises out of the mists. Or when I stand chest-deep in the surf at the beach and feel the waves moving past my body, each one picking me up off the ocean floor with its undeniable force.

It is easy to get lost in the worlds invented and spun by the mind. But when you are standing with these graceful, powerful and archetypal beings who are five times your size, the mental noise is reduced and your ego boundaries become more permeable.

I am fully a believer in the power of equine therapy, as I receive the benefits of it in the course of our daily lives here at November Hill farm.

Matthew, what a great comment. I'm glad you get that from the horses.
