Thankfully he's not really a horse that will take off running so was easily brought back in.
The three smaller herd members were down in front having a working supper.
Cody was up in the barn munching on hay. He had a cranio-sacral session yesterday and seems to be continuing to process the changes. He is not fond of massage therapy, puts up with chiropractic adjustment, but this he really seemed to enjoy. I'll be interested to see how things go this next week or two with him.
As crazy as our weather has been this year, you know it isn't as simple as spring fever and on we go. Tonight we're getting down into the 30s and as I type the cold front is moving in. Maybe it will get cold enough to knock out one sure sign of spring: the ear gnat monsters. But I am not complaining! I'm happy to see green again and welcome a good spell of spring fever as we move on into this season.

I'm sure Keil Bay thinks it is his absolute right as senior member of the herd to check out any new grass. Glad he's not a runner and was easily caught.
I think it might be warmer here for a change. We had close to 60 yesterday and no flies spotted...yet!
Arlene, so envious of the no flies! We have already put out the first batch of fly predators and I have had to start brushing out ears and applying ointment to keep the gnats out.
KB - the Escape Artist! I'll bet he just needed to show you that he can still get frisky when he wants to. Somehow, Siete broke out of her stall last night into the pasture and greeted me this morning with a loud whinny - so proud of herself - It's a sign of the season! Happy Spring!
Victoria, it would appear that acting like a 5-year old under saddle (in terms of forward) is not enough to reasssure me about his level of frisk!
Happy spring to you too. :)
Oh KB... He's just letting you know that age is only a number. ;D
C, he's a wild man. :)
It's amazing how fast everything happens once the spring crocuses pop out!
It's true - spring has come on strong now. :)
