clearing small obstacles (in a single bound)

I spoke with our homeopathic vet yesterday and he felt my treatment plan was on the money, so we're continuing the remedy and watching things closely with Salina. She seems to be slightly perplexed by the fact that I'm using a tiny syringe to spray sweet water into her mouth. A far cry from paste dewormer or Probios or Banamine.

Meanwhile, it turns out the rest of the family will be beach-bound this weekend, so the end of summer Get Ready To Query writing weekend will be taking place here this Friday-Sunday. I have one RSVP thus far and am eager to get moving with edits again.

Glad to hear Salina is on the road to recovery. The beach weekend sounds like a nice trip for everyone,
Hope you get a lot of work done this Query weekend, sounds like fun.
My goodness, was that Rafer Johnson jumping that pole, I think you may have an up and coming star to compete in the Grand Prix! So cute.

Wow! Did you teach Rafer Johnson to do that or did he teach himself? I've watched George and Alan leap over things in the pasture at liberty, but I never thought of setting up jumps for them in the corral. Guess what I'll be doing this weekend.

So glad to hear Salina is responding to this treatment.

Thanks, Arlene. The swelling is down a little, but still present; however, all else is good thus far.

Yes, that is Rafer Johnson, whose name comes from an Olympic gold medalist in running. I guess Rafer is exploring his Olympic options. :)

Linda, all the credit goes to my amazing daughter, who has played with Rafer Johnson in the arena, jumping poles herself, working with her pony, and basically letting Rafer follow suit when he sees fit.

He has turned out to be quite the jumping donkey. He seems to love doing it.

He actually squeezes himself between the arena gate and the post if you don't let him in - he does not want to be left out of the fun!
