the girl and the horse

This popped up on Facebook today and it is so lovely it made me cry - a story many of us share:

Lovely. I'd venture a guess that a horse person actually made this video.

Oh - that was beautiful Billie. Thanks :)

Billie, a perfect illustration that humans without equines in their lives suffer from a gaping chasm.

Arlene, I don't see how that could NOT be true! She captured it so well.

C, I thought you would like it. I just love it.

Sheaffer, I totally agree.

I thought of you today as I offered the herd their first serving of papaya puree. I have read about its uses for ulcers and although I don't have any real suspicion that we have that going on, I figured it was a nice holiday gift for this crew to give a course of the papain and see if anyone has an esp. positive response.

Keil Bay went into gaga mode - he loved it. Salina had no part of it. Rafer was intrigued with the smell but wanted no part of tasting it.

The pony - no thank you. Cody - he tentatively tried it and seemed to like it, although nothing like Keil Bay's enthusiastic lapping.

Redford fell head over heels in love with it.

I wish I could trust that those who need it, eat it willingly, but they are getting it twice a day for a few weeks.

I tasted it and it has a nice, slightly tart taste. I will probably mix it into some reluctant equines' feed tubs tomorrow and see if I can get some compliance!

Billie, papaya,eh? Very interesting. I feel Herself has most certainly given me ulcers so I must try a course of it. If Rafer approves, I feel sure I would also approve.

Oh dear... I walked right into that one, didn't I?!

I do confess I had a vision of you and Rafer conferring over some stately issue while wearing tiny sombreros and sipping papaya cocktails. :)

Delightful! Although not a horse person, I am a horse lover and can relate to it completely! Thanks, Billie.

Maddy, I had a sense that many of the regulars here would enjoy this - so glad you saw it and liked it!!

Greta, I think of horse lovers as horse people too! :) Glad you liked it.

Just fab.

I watched it again to see what parts really made it sing for me - I think it was the ear movement and the mirroring of the yawn. She really got the horse "right" - glad you liked it too!
