the astrophysicist and his star

This was the wonderful thing I have been waiting to share. My son and daughter-in-law were married after Thanksgiving and we were there for a perfect weekend. They created an intimate, gorgeous ceremony in a historic inn that provided a lovely ambiance and also gave us the chance to spend time with the parents of the bride.

We’re so happy for this couple and so proud of them for being the young people they are. I’m looking forward to spending the upcoming holidays with both of them!

I've been waiting for this post. They look like the picture of happiness. To have an intimate wedding in an old inn sounds like the perfect setting for beginning a life together. I wish them happiness and good fortune for the rest of their lives. Spending the holidays together should be a wonderful time for all of you.

Thank you, A! There are so many lovely photos of the event to help us remember. One serendipity was that while we missed our connecting flight out of Philadelphia and had to rent a car at 10 p.m. and drive to Ithaca, I drove the last hour while husband and daughter conked out and the roads were clear but the landscape was covered by snow and lit by the moon. I was the only car on the road and it was simply magical. A beautiful start to a wonderful celebratory weekend.
