Today I had the windows open, went barefoot, did some spot cleaning of horses with shampoo and water, sweated for no good reason, and watched my daughter sponge her sweat-soaked pony after his work-out.
I also had a few biting flies go after my ankles, and swatted one mosquito off my arm.
December!
It was funny to have a warm breeze blowing through the house, making the Christmas tree ornaments swing.
The horses didn't seem to mind.
I'm glad the horses are enjoying the balmy weather. :-)

So cold last week, and so warm this week. . .
ReplyDeleteThe weather always follows its own muse. . .
This weather is really odd but given that we need more wood for the woodstove, I am having to do a treatment routine for Keil Bay that involves daily washing, and I can delay some cold-weather clothes shopping for my son, I'm okay with the balmy temps!
ReplyDeleteIt's been seasonally warm here in the west, but to read of your warm spell in the east, I can hear the tinkling of those ornaments.
ReplyDeleteHi, Joseph - quite literally tinkling - yesterday I did barn chores in shorts and battled biting flies!
ReplyDeleteBut the cold is coming back over the weekend, along with RAIN, which is much needed but will make everything feel that much colder.
