Lots of folks are not wearing masks in NC as well as other states. If you wear a mask you protect others, and if others wear masks, they protect you. It’s not 100% but if both people wear masks, transmission of the virus is very low. So simple. An act that shows you care, you respect, you are doing one very important thing you can do personally to impact this pandemic.
With thanks to my daughter for sharing this photo!
Ugh. The COVID count in Dare Co has tripled since we opened back up, (approx 30 days ago) with verified accounts of sick visitors refusing to cooperate with the contact tracers at the health department to reveal where they were staying. Masks became mandatory as of yesterday, so hopefully our case numbers will start going down instead of up. I am thoroughly disgusted with anyone who prioritizes their comfort and/or political delusions over my health. Clementine is adorable! <3
ReplyDeleteClementine is adorable and very smart! I can't believe people are making this mask wearing a political thing. How stupid. Here I see very few people without masks or gloves for that matter. Our numbers are going down because, I think, you are not allowed into a store without a mask. I wear one whenever I go into a store or pump gas etc. It's just not a big deal and hey if I'm protecting you then I expect you to return the favor. These people have to stop being morons and take a tip from the dog.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh - yes, the numbers are telling the truth about how humans’ behavior impacts the spread. There’s a restaurant in Raleigh who put a sign on the door saying basically come on in and do what you like, we’re not following the rules. Their defense is if you don’t like it, don’t eat here. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteRaleigh has now made masks mandatory but almost no one is following that mandate.
Ugh ugh ugh!
So agree, both of you.
