Prepping For Hurricane Florence, with a little help from some friends

Yes, this is really how it looked at the barn this afternoon. Who would believe a hurricane is on its way?

Stay safe, everyone in the path.

  1. Love the blue sky, it’s so clear and beautiful. The herd is looking happy. Hope you don’t get hit too hard. Stay safe.

  2. Thank you, A... it looks like an early fall day but was 90 degrees!

  3. Thinking I might deserve a gold medal for profuse sweating the last few days. Epic heat indexes here during hurricane prep. We're all buttoned down and ready finally. Val made sure to take a preemptive strike beauty nap this morning at dawn, and is now residing at his remote feeding station i.e. furthest corner of the pasture from shelter and supplies. Horses lol. Stay safe!

  4. So glad to hear from you and Val - glad you’re okay and prepped for the storm. We’re seeing some wind but no rain yet and even the wind seems to come and go. I dread losing power but if that’s the worst of it then we are lucky!

Check in when you can and we’re sending good safe thoughts your way!
