Color is still peaking in central NC
Every glimpse is a delight right now in central North Carolina. Everywhere I go I'm seeing trees like this, colors ranging from deep yellow to brilliant orange and red. Absolutely glorious time of year.
That's one of the best features of Autumn! Love the colors in the landscape. We have a few trees hanging in there but it's mostly all gone until next year.
It feels like we're peaking a little late this year. Summer seemed to go on late too. I also love the winter colors, or lack thereof - the dark trees against a pale pink winter sky makes me almost as happy as autumn's mad color song.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - I love reading them and respond as often as I can. I also love comments that add to the original post, so feel free to share your own experiences, insights, and thoughts.

ReplyDeleteThe reds this year are eyeball-popping!
ReplyDeleteI guess the dry weather has really made a difference in the color!
