two donkeys celebrate spring
There isn't much need for words here - except to say that my daughter took the photos and it's pretty clear we have two young donkey boys feeling really happy that they have warm sunshine, dust pits to roll in, and ... each other!
billie, such unbridled joy in lovely spring weather. Their feet seem to be off the ground most of the time and do I detect a hint of a smile on both faces? And more than a hint of devilry in young Redford? They have come through the winter in splendid shape.
Maire, thank you! This is partly why I haven't done the track yet. They go all over the place when they do this kind of play and it's so much fun to watch.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - I love reading them and respond as often as I can. I also love comments that add to the original post, so feel free to share your own experiences, insights, and thoughts.
Oh, this is so wonderful. What a celebration. Who needs words?

ReplyDeleteDoes my heart good!
ReplyDeleteDancing Donks !! What joy in motion !! Again, kuddos to your daughter and her photography !! Thanks to you both for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteJessica, they really do make me smile, every single day..
ReplyDeleteshinyfluff, they are total cuteness - it's true! I still ask myself - what did we do before the donkeys came to live with us?
ReplyDeleteC, I love that airborne shot too - and the one of Rafer that looks like he's doing an uphill canter. :)

ReplyDeleteArlene, it's true - perfect days here on the farm. We had another one yesterday, and I didn't want it to end it was so nice.
ReplyDeleteSheaffer, they are still rather puffy fur-wise, but by midsummer we will see those slick, shiny, donkey coats again.
ReplyDeleteGreta, I'm glad! I know you are working hard this week!
ReplyDeleteBeth, good to "see" you - how is Cookie? The Pony has started shedding now - so we have lots of white horse hair everywhere!
