he gets more handsome every day
Apache Moon nearing the end of his tenth year. Today he lay down outside my window and curled up in the sunshine. How's a gal supposed to get any work done when something so handsome is competing with the computer screen?
Thanks, Jane. His "star" used to look more like a snail but now it is getting sort of star-bursty - I think that and his mixed forelock are my favorite parts of the facial markings.
Needless to say, he is a nightmare for the vet who has to replicate all of the markings on the Coggins.
Arlene, it's true. It's a wonder, although no one would be too confused if they saw my house right now. It's pretty clear I spend my time gazing, not cleaning. :)
Billie, what a stunning lad. His face has an intriguing map-like quality that, along with that intense stare, give him the air of a man of mystery. He could never, ever be mistaken for anyone else.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - I love reading them and respond as often as I can. I also love comments that add to the original post, so feel free to share your own experiences, insights, and thoughts.
He is gorgeous. Love that handsome face.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of a very handsome boy. It's a wonder any of us get any work done with these gorgeous equines vying for our attention.
ReplyDeleteOoohh...my heart leaps! What a handsome man he is! I would too be quite distracted.
ReplyDeleteYou just can't. You just have to give him all the admiration that is his due.

ReplyDeleteJenn, he is def. an attention-getter off the farm too. Fortunately he loves getting oohed and ahhed over.
ReplyDeleteMaire, that might become his new mantra. "I deserve all the attention that is my due." I can see it now! :)

ReplyDeleteSheaffer, he's def. a one of a kind pony!
ReplyDeleteAmazing markings, absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, his markings on his body are very unusual too.
ReplyDeleteYour website and artwork are lovely - do you ever do farm signs?
