Thanks, katie l - Kyra is 10 years old and lost her full litter-mate brother, also a tri-color, back in Sept.
We're keeping our eye on the local Corgi rescue group page, and have been looking around at puppies some too - I feel slightly guilty buying a full-bred Corgi puppy when there are so many mixes in shelters/rescues that need homes, but figure the right pup will find us when it's time. She misses having another dog here and I think we're all ready for some puppy energy.
Sheaffer, this crew of felines look oh so senatorial in photos, but my gosh - it's more like the Jerry Springer show around here sometimes!
Mystic, the solid gray, tails Muffine (the gray tabby princess), Keats (the black sister to Muffine) is either hunting outside or rallying around the kitchen getting into food, and Dickens (not pictured) corners Muffine and makes her scream.
Moomintroll (also not pictured) has to deal with all of them plus a bossy Corgi. Why he chose us I will never know. He is obviously used to quieter environs.
I should try to get an audio/video of Osage/Muffine Eloise/Puffiane screaming. When her brother Dickens corners her, he does NOT touch her. He just sits there and she screams like a banshee, which of course brings us running to her rescue.
When we adopted the solid gray, Mystic, as a tiny kitten, my daughter would make Muffine babysit him in daughter's room while she went to the barn to do her chores/ride. Now Mystic thinks he must track Muffine everywhere.
As if we don't have enough herd dynamics at the barn! The feline pride dynamics are equally interesting and sometimes ear-splitting. :)

Beautiful pictures of your "fluffy and furry" family members :) Thanks for sharing.
Thank you - Dickens and Moomintroll were not in the vicinity so they missed out on their share of limelight this time!
ohhh...your corgi is too cute! My mom has a tri-colored corgi:) They are so fun!

billie, the eyes have it.
LOL, Gale, yes they do!
Billie, there is nothing quite as senatorial as a cat...this is why I like them so much. They are very close to being donkeys.

thanks - daughter is good at animal photography!
Billie, your cat herd dynamics are fascinating - Machiavelli would be proud.

I feel better now after seeing these wonderful pictures.
She does an exceptional job with the felines, doesn't she?
