This morning, upon return from barn chores, I found these lazy bones, Kyra and Wickens, sleeping in - please ignore my messy unmade bed!
Now, sitting here at the computer, I look out and see Keil Bay and Cody looking in:
And when I turned to open the window, I realized they are ALL out there! I suspect the equines would be nudging me as I type, if they could only get inside.
Alas, when daughter went out to feed Salina her first lunch (or second breakfast, or onesies, as we sometimes call it) and give hay to geldings, they promptly abandoned me and my open window.
Off to the store. I haven't left here in a week!
Oh yes, we are watching at all times. By the way, that bed looks just the place for a donkey nap on a cold winter's day...
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeleteSheaffer, I sometimes forget, but I think you're right. The equines are always keeping us under intense scrutiny, whether we realize it or not.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of walking in to find two little donkeys piled on my bed!
You too, Arlene! Amazing to think it's now 2010.
ReplyDeleteCute little snugglebugs! Wish Grady would humor me just a bit more! Especially during our current cold snap. I love your photos of the gang just hanging out. I miss that most about having the farm - just seeing those faces everytime I look out the window!
ReplyDeleteHaving them so close is one of my favorite things!
