A Day of Writing With Horses and Sand

(no experience with horses necessary, no mounted work)

Two dates available: Friday May 29th OR Saturday May 30th (you are welcome to register for both days if you like)

10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come to November Hill and work on poetry, fiction, nonfiction, journalling, or anything you like, in the company of horses, miniature donkeys, and myself.

Schedule for these days:

10 - 10:30: introductions and intentions for the day

10:30 - 12: time with horses and donkeys

12 - 1: writing time (you may work on your own or do guided writing with me)

1 - 2: lunch - bring your own, beverages provided - with discussion

2 - 4: time with the sandtrays

Cost: $75 for the day (reduced this year to help with budgeting in these tighter times)

  1. I'd be there in a heartbeat if you weren't 1,729 miles away and I could find a housesitter. Sounds like a great way to spend the day.

  2. Ohhhh, now THAT would be a blast, having you here!

The hardest thing about having friends with horses/farms is that the act of getting together becomes incredibly difficult.

  3. Billie,
This sounds like a fun event. I'm not sure I can make it but will try. How late can I register?

Also, I'm a little confused--Is it going to be Friday the 29th AND Saturday the 30th?

And would you mind if I cross-posted it on my TAF group's site? There may be several people in the group who are interested.
    Cheers,
    Sue

  4. Sue, I would love to have you participate. I don't mind late registrations, probably would need to know by Wed. of that week.

I'll clarify - I have set aside both Friday AND Saturday as workshop days, but each day is independent, and each is $75. Anyone who wanted to could do both, but I figured some folks might prefer weekdays and others weekend, so I decided to offer this choice.

And by all means, post to your TAF group. I'd love to tap into that bunch of writers!

One of these days we have to set up a "blog womens' retreat" someplace.
