my new intention with reference to the novels

Ezra Pound said:

Man reading should be man intensely alive. The book should be a ball of light in one's hand.

Now I know why it is taking me so long to get these novels right AND why writing novels is such a transformative, wonderful process. It's alchemy of a very special kind.

  1. Great quote. It may be taking a long time to get the words right, but anything worth doing is worth taking your time with until it is just the way you want it.

  2. so you write?? I didn't know that - I mean I did - you write the blog which I love - but I didn't know you wrote novels. Can I get more info about that - I love to read - several books a week - if you have anything published I would BUY it!!!

  5. Buddy, you're very kind - these novels are not yet published. The first one came close but for now is set aside while I try to get the second one out there.

It's a good time to remind myself that there is a third novel waiting for me, and a fourth with about 50 pages written.

There's a nonfiction book nearly done.

And there are about 3 more novels with first pages and some big ideas waiting.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: it will be a distinct pleasure and thrill the day I can put up a blog post telling folks where they can buy my books. :)
