It's so great that Dickens has decided to be Rafer's buddy. One of our friends has a very old pony whose best friend is a cat. They're inseparable. Some cats just "get it", don't they?
That's absolutely gorgeous! My boy seems to have taken a disliking to cats since the ginger ball of Mischief that roams the property decided to leap onto my gelding's back.
(After all, that's where all my attention was with the brush, surely Mischief had to be there too!)

Isn't that just the Dickens...or the cat's meow... too cute, whatever you call it.
Can't you just see Deets in the picture too? He and Dickens are definitely kindred cats.
Rafer looks really good. Must have alot to do with all of the great care he's given and his wonderful, friendly visitors.
What a cutie kitty :)

Thanks, Lisa - he's had a really good day today.

Keil Bay had a cat in his previous home - if he had come straight here instead of being boarded first, I'd have offered to take his cat too.
Keats, Osage, and Dickens used to sneak into the pasture when they were kittens and play with Keil Bay's tail. He even let them climb it.
Now Dickens is the true-blue barn cat, and although he is pals with everyone, it does seem he and Rafer have developed a special bond.

Great to see yours getting along so well!
I've worried about Dickens jumping onto a horse's back - he seems to think he's one of them - but thus far he hasn't.
He's a good buddy to Rafer - they have their own games and ways of communicating.
