102.3 in the shade

The horses lined up when I got the hose going around 4. What a week.

  2. Thank god. It's been a very long week.

Keep fingers crossed for a big old thunderstorm this afternoon.

  3. Best wishes for your lovely animals to come through the heat with their health and well-being intact. It's miserable where I live, too. Relief will be welcome.

  4. Thank you, Anon. The highest I recorded here was 105.8, without the heat index. We did get rain yesterday, quite suddenly, and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees in what felt like minutes, though I'm sure it took longer than that!

It looks like low nineties for the next 5 days, with one mid-ninety day tossed in just to keep us on our toes.

And today we have clouds again and at least a decent shot at more rain.

I appreciate the good wishes for the animals. Take care on your end as well.
