diorama
With family out of town, I've come down from the garret to do revisions in a new location. I looked up and over the laptop screen this morning to see this lovely sight.
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - I love reading them and respond as often as I can. I also love comments that add to the original post, so feel free to share your own experiences, insights, and thoughts.
Beautiful! I love those moments that capture you by the eyes and pull you out of yourself for a moment. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteIt was a surprise. At that time of the morning I'm rarely inside. It was magical to glance up and see it today.

The ghost image is like a living dream. You want to touch it, but in doing so, the dark reality of your hand destroys it.
ReplyDeleteIt was very ephemeral and delicate - shimmering and moving.
ReplyDeleteI didn't go near it - didn't want to cast my shadow onto something that fleeting. It lasted about 15 minutes before the sun shifted.
Almost like a camera obscura in the room.
ReplyDeleteYes, almost like one.
ReplyDeleteArt is in the eye and the heart, not the pen, ink, or canvas. This photo reveals as much about you as it does the reflection on the wall.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolyn. It's always good to see you here. :)
