Not just a crow moon, but also a total eclipse as well!
Thanks to Billie's quick eyes, we got to see this delicious sight. We drove out to Jordan Lake to watch the eclipse, but the cloud cover there prevented us from seeing anything. On the drive home, Billie exclaimed: "there's the moon!". I pulled over the car and we got to see the treat of the moon in full eclipse, and watched it gradually emerge from the earth's penumbra.
Joni, thanks - I've seen the full moon a few times on the downtown skyline where it looked bigger than the buildings in the foreground - always thought that would make a lovely photo but have never taken the time to capture it.
If only we could figure out how to snap the shots with our eyes and transfer it to the screen!
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment - I love reading them and respond as often as I can. I also love comments that add to the original post, so feel free to share your own experiences, insights, and thoughts.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you captured it.

Thank you, Billie!
That is a great photo!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the photo, Jason, and Dana... good to see you here!
ReplyDeleteThere's a Blood Moon in my current book, and it really did get the flow going to see this tinted moon while working on the revision.

Gorgeous shot! I saw this, by chance, while driving into downtown.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me see it again. It was beautiful against the skyline, but I didn't have a tripod with me to get the shot.
Thanks again, this is awesome!
