gifts from above

Yesterday a squirrel fell from the sky and landed quite literally at my feet. (no harm was done, as he took off when Keats the cat came running to check him out)

Then the great runic X appeared.

This morning a mysterious seed fell from nowhere onto the dining room floor. I saw it land and heard the tiny click as it hit the hardwoods. I have soaked and planted it to see what grows.

  1. This morning as I walked out to the barn to turn out the herd some water fell on me from above and not a cloud to be seen in the sky. . .

  2. The physicians of Myddfai in ancient Wales said that three things bring healing: water, honey, and work.

Isak Dinesen said: the cure for anything is salt water, sweat, tears, or the sea.

I say water from above is probably a blessing of some kind.

  4. I find and collective feathers all the time. I call them messages from the sky. Hours I've spent seeking raven feathers in Santa Fe and places Southwest. Love the runic X photo too. Maybe it was an ad to vote for your favorite god? ;-)

  5. Ha!

The X rune is called Gebo; it's the rune of partnership and union, and heralds seeing the Divine in all things...

I find it especially wonderful to see it spread across the sky.

My children's wonderful art mentor last year had a collection of feathers that wowed us - he often incorporated them into his artwork.
