It will take a few more days and then probably a few more weeks to fully heal - that's my guess, anyway.

I always think of "The Pony" being capitalized but rarely take the time to press those keys that make it so... Lady is right to have you remind me! :)billiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18187141867284800597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-65696189372922105352010-08-01T17:49:38.495-05:002010-08-01T17:49:38.495-05:00Power walking and "piggy toe" - so much ...Power walking and "piggy toe" - so much of what you write of your lovely, magical relationship with Keil Bay resonates with my relationship with Cookie - I read your stories and write "in the air" responses to this or that observation of yours - most of which disappear, "poof" like magic. I think, billie, that just like there are some humans that "see", really, reeally see, or reeally hear some horses, there are some horses who reeally see, hear some humans and know, intuitively, those they can "speak" with. I believe this is so - Cookie told me it is so.

And so, hidden in some horses, is the magical unicorn, and hidden in some humans is the magic of an innocence and love that supersedes the brutalities of the ugly side of human doings. Then there are the most interesting "warriors" who fight evil without bloodshed - these things fascinate me :)

I hope your toe is better.

And like Cher, there is power in "The Pony" - Lady wanted me to remind you, that's "The Pony" - capitalized :)forever in blue jeans, Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05971214086040974793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-54685056049544133552010-07-31T14:00:38.012-05:002010-07-31T14:00:38.012-05:00V, it's true that we seem to forget that thing...V, it's true that we seem to forget that things will indeed be different in the not too distant months. I guess it's the flip side of forgetting the pain of childbirth... :)billiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18187141867284800597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-49938871379662257642010-07-31T13:56:28.343-05:002010-07-31T13:56:28.343-05:00Arlene, it is definitely not hanging to the side! ...Arlene, it is definitely not hanging to the side! It actually is sitting straighter on my foot than normal, but that is probably because of the swelling. Because I can't move it without extreme pain I'm thinking it is broken, but maybe I'm wrong... or it's just broken in a way that hasn't displaced it.

Weather wise, I'm thrilled - it's 77 degrees right now, down to 67 tonight, and tomorrow's high is 80! What a nice break from the heat we're having. Hope yours continues for you too!billiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18187141867284800597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-36173711684263540972010-07-31T13:42:55.031-05:002010-07-31T13:42:55.031-05:00Thanks, Kate. I guess the hard conditions strain our imaginations as well as our bodies.Valentinohttp://transitiontoharmony.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-75458668418483349202010-07-31T12:21:50.136-05:002010-07-31T12:21:50.136-05:00It sounds like a lovely night. When we went out for night check the stars were shining in a clear sky.

Interesting about the beet pulp. I guess the big bay has more discerning taste buds than the others. Ours usually eat anything, except Dusty really despises alfalfa pellets and spits them all over the floor.

Sorry to hear about your toe. I did the same thing years ago on the sofa too! Unfortunately, my pinky toe was hanging to the side and I had to drive myself the next day to get it reset. Not fun. Hope you only bruised it and it heals quickly.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31257856.post-63931732961278382382010-07-31T10:23:51.245-05:002010-07-31T10:23:51.245-05:00Sounds like an enjoyable evening despite the toe -...Sounds like an enjoyable evening despite the toe - hope it heals up quickly!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
